On Tuesday, June 19, the Bakerville Library kicked off the summer reading program with an ice cream social, sponsored by the New Hartford Woman’s Club. Kids of all ages picked up their summer reading journals, made ice cream sundaes, and made a craft. As you can see by the pictures below, the weather cooperated.
This year, summer reading participants pledge to read for at least 100 minutes each week (900 minutes total for the summer), and visit the library three times. All who meet those goals receive a book of their choice at the end of the summer.
